The AR600 Digital Laboratory Refractometer is an easy-to-use refractometer for concentration measurements, purity determination and chemical identification. The AR600 represents one of the best refractometer available for routine analysis to advanced research and helped set the standard for automated precise refractive index readings. It is, hands down, one of the most precise and repeatable laboratory refractometer available today. Precision optics and superior image analysis extend the range of accuracy and repeatability in measurement. The fully automated measurement process eliminates subjectivity; no manual adjustments are necessary, just place the sample on the measuring surface, press a button, and receive an instant digital readout. The AR600 incorporates numerous innovations. A patented 2600 cell linear-scanned diode-array shadowline sensor is sensitive enough to read even the most demanding samples such as inks and grape juice concentrate. Users may select from 8 to 256 scans of the array per reading. The large graphical LCD display is easy-to-read and prompts the users with on-screen instructions to walk them through all its features. Setup, diagnostic and calibration routines are displayed with easy to follow step-by-step instructions. Users may accurately test fluids with 5th decimal place refractive index accuracy. Advanced optoelectronic design allows the AR600 to operate continuously at only two to three degrees above ambient room temperature, eliminating the need for a temperature-control bath in many instances. The AR600 features both a 25 pin parallel port and a 9 pin RS-232 serial port to connect to computers or printers. In fact, the shadowline focused on the cell diode array can actually be downloaded and examined on a computer or viewed on screen. A new switchable power supply allows the Abbe to automatically sense line voltage and operates from 90-265 Volts, 50/60 Hz.
