The Theory of evolution for TOC continuous measurement 
Combustion Oxidation - Wet Oxidation - UV Batch type oxidation Conductivity detection - UV continuous type Oxidation Conductivity detection.

The TOC contained in ultra pure water is decomposed and oxidized by ultra-short waves (184.9 nm) to become an intermediate and finally carbon dioxide and water. The TOC measuring technology of the batch type has been the main stream traditionally, yet it has not been unable to meet the needs in emergency because the batch type could not detect a sudden increase of TOC or a change in water quality.

The TAC series detect a variation of conductivity generated in the stage of intermediate or carbon dioxide of complete oxidation by control and application of the exposure dose of ultraviolet radiation, the sample quantity of flow and the measurement algorithm, and by those calibration curves the TOC measurement is conducted, enabling the process control when a high speed mode in emergency and when an absolute mode when it it hard to be influenced by a trace quantity of dissolved gases in sample solution. 

It is possible to measure the variation of TOC and change of water quality in approximately 30 seconds in the high-speed mode and 3 minutes in the absolute mode.

By providing four types of TOC lineup, it has been made possible to carry out the TOC inline continuous measurement in ultra pure water and ultra pure water for next generation used for manufacture of semiconductors and liquid crystals, and ultra pure water for medical and pharmaceutical use (injection and preparation), The TOC off-line continuous measurement has been also possible by using an optional pump.
